Burnett's Autism Acceptance Week April 14 through April 18
This week is National Assistant Principal’s Week. Burnett is blessed to have two dedicated, passionate, caring APs that really believe in doing what’s in the best interest for students. Assistant Principals are crucial to the success of a school and Burnett has two that are willing to do whatever is needed to make sure the school continues to grow and experience success. This often includes early mornings, late nights, riding buses, attending athletic events, working with students, supporting staff, communicating with parents, and even cleaning up the occasional spill. These are just a few of the responsibilities and actions that both of these amazing APs perform…often without others even noticing or recognition. Please take a moment to celebrate Ms. Zachery and Mrs. McAlexander this week as they are recognized for their outstanding work.

The Atlanta Braves Foundation is partnering with local organizations to fight hunger in Douglas County today. Families can receive fresh produce, protein and hot Chick-fil-A meals at Deer Lick Park (2105 Mack Rd. in Douglasville) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The drive-through food distribution brings together the Braves Foundation's Home Plate Project presented by Chick-fil-A with the Douglas County Parks & Recreation, Urban Recipe and Concrete Jungle to increase food access in our community.

Chestnut Log Middle school has a cheer interest meeting on March 4, 2025 in their cafeteria at 6 PM . Any current 5th grade student interested in trying out for the cheer team must attend the meeting with a parent/guardian.
Our black history program will be February 27 at 8 AM in the Burnett gymnasium.

Burnett Elementary's holiday musical is today in the gymnasium. Students in the musical must report at 5 o'clock. Program starts at 5:30.

There are several coats, jackets, and hoodies in our Lost and Found. Please take the time to check for any items your child may have misplaced.
Important: On December 18, 2024, all remaining Lost and Found items will be donated to Goodwill.
Make sure to visit the Lost and Found before this date to claim your belongings!
Our Tiger Cub Cheerleaders had the privilege of participating in Douglasville’s Jingle Jamboree Christmas Parade! Despite the cold, they did an absolutely amazing job, and we are so proud of them!
Ugly sweater dance tomorrow can't wait to see those ugly sweaters.
