On Tuesday, March 11, the Douglas County School System will seek passionate and dedicated educators committed to inspiring the next generation and shaping bright futures at its Educator Recruitment Fair. For the first time, this highly anticipated event will be held at Legacy Arena, located at 9030 Highway 5, Douglasville, GA, 30134 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Executive Director of Human Resources, Jill DePriest, shared her excitement about the annual event.
“Preparations are now underway and we are even more thrilled about this year’s event,” she said. “Hosting at Legacy Arena is going to be a first-class experience. Candidates will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from all area vacancies while enjoying the ambiance of our beautiful state-of-the art venue.”
Staff and administrators are prepared to discuss immediate and future DCSS employment opportunities. Additionally, prospective teachers will hear from school leaders about benefits and advancement opportunities within the school system.
With openings available in all areas—including Elementary, Middle and High School, Special Education, Fine Arts and Physical Education, Superintendent Trent North emphasized the school system’s commitment to recruiting teachers dedicated to excellence in education.
"We are looking for committed professionals prepared to champion students' academic success," North said. "Our goal is to create an environment where students and teachers thrive. This recruitment fair is a step towards finding talented individuals to join our team."
Applicants must have or be eligible for Georgia Teacher Certification. Prospective educators are advised to dress to impress and bring multiple copies of their resume along with documentation validating their teaching credentials.
