The Alexander girls soccer team has been on a roll the past two seasons—winning 15 games and 
finishing among the top 10 in the state in both 2023 and 2024.
Head coach Jason Cann is optimistic his Lady Cougars can build on that success again this year.
“We have a strong team back,” Cann said during the recent Spring Sports Media Day.
Though Alexander lost six seniors—all four-year starters—to graduation, the team returns a deep pool of talent, led by senior midfielder Bella Small.
“She's a four year varsity player for us and has really grown into a key role on the team,” Cann said.
Small, an all-region selection last year, recorded double-digit assists and scored a goal in the state playoffs as a junior.
“I'm just excited to see us play as a team, work together and use our skills together to maybe make it to the playoffs again,” Small said.
