The excitement returns to Legacy Arena this weekend as seventh- and eighth-grade teams from Douglas County School System middle schools battle for the DCSS Middle School Basketball championships.
The tournament tipped off earlier this week with quarterfinal matchups held at the home courts of the higher-seeded teams. Now, the action shifts to Legacy Arena, where the semifinal and championship rounds are taking place Thursday through Saturday.
“The community, players, cheerleaders and coaches look forward to this tournament each year,” said DCSS Athletics Director Eric Collins. “The semifinals and finals are typically close games often won on the last possession. The coaches and players will be in awe of the new arena as this is the inaugural Middle School tournament at Legacy Arena. The tournament is always exciting, but I believe it will be even more so playing in our new home facility.”
Tickets are $10 per day for all games at https://gofan.co
