BETA Club members at Yeager Middle School are proving that academic excellence goes hand-in-hand with community service. These dedicated students engage in volunteer activities throughout the school day, from assisting teachers to maintaining the school’s food pantry and beautifying the campus.
An additional project involves BETA Club members reading to students, a project that fosters meaningful connections between peers.
“These volunteer experiences help our students develop crucial life skills, teamwork abilities, and a strong sense of community responsibility,” says Yeager Middle School Principal Jaslyn Janae. “They’re learning that academic success includes contributing to their school community.”
Through these acts of service, Yeager’s BETA Club members are creating a positive school environment while gaining leadership experience that will benefit them beyond middle school.
