As part of their unit on figurative language, third graders at Bill Arp Elementary showed their knowledge by dressing up as idioms.


"The kids and teachers had a blast," said Assistant Principal Lisa Broadhead. "The activity really helped students understand the meaning behind the idioms."


An idiom is a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words.
