Congratulations to Bright Star Elementary school's Jr. Beta Club students! They received a national MVP award for their service learning hours.
Each student averaged approximately eighty hours of service. Examples of service included preparing food and supply boxes for those in need, donating gift cards to a local fire department, fundraisers for women and children of domestic violence, reading to K-2 students and various other service activities in our community.
Beta Club sponsor, Mrs. Barnett, stated that, "it was truly a pleasure working with such a group of selfless young students this year."
