FSMS students on career day

Factory Shoals Middle School students got a glimpse into their potential futures during the YouthA FSMS student on career day Science Career Fair. During the event, career professionals shared their experiences with students.

The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers. Among them were NFL sports agent Greg Barnett, chiropractor Dr. Pasquel Bigoms, emergency room nurse Jaiah Willis, attorney Corey Martin, and college readiness director Brynn Rone. From the fast-paced world of professional sports to the challenges of emergency medicine, each professional offered valuable career insights.

Throughout the event, students asked thoughtful questions about career paths and educational requirements. This interactive format provided knowledge about various professions and the skills needed for success.

"This career fair is important to our students because it gives them exposure to different career paths and the skills needed for different professions," said Principal Dr. Raymond Leonard. "This allows our students to connect their academic learning with relevant learning experiences."

School counselors Debbie Price and Ishalah Sneed coordinated the event. Media specialist Katrina Barnett and media clerk Stephanie Edwards hosted and facilitated the presentations in the media center.
