CHHS student

Over 100 Chapel Hill High School seniors explored post-graduation paths during their annual CHHS students pose for a photoApply to College and Career Week.

The November event featured hands-on activities and real-world opportunities. Not only did students participate in college application workshops, but they received personalized support throughout the event. In addition, representatives from Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, and the University of West Georgia conducted instant decision days. This event provided students with immediate feedback on their applications.

Principal Dr. Melisha Plummer says there is no single path to success at Chapel Hill High School. She explains, "Our goal is to provide students with as many opportunities and post-secondary options as possible. We want every student to be equipped for success, whether four-year college, technical school, an apprenticeship in a skilled trade, or the military."

The interactive event highlighted multiple career pathways. It included presentations from West Georgia Technical College and the Water and Sewer Authority. These presentations focused on skilled trades and apprenticeship opportunities. Additionally, during "Troop Thursday," recruiters from all service branches met with interested students.

The week culminated in "Future Friday," where students wore attire representing their post-secondary aspirations. With each event, the school highlighted the paths to success available for Chapel Hill graduates.
