The Lithia Springs flag football team punched its ticket to the state quarterfinals tonight with dominating wins over Camden County and Warner Robins.
The Lions defeated Camden 26-0 in the first of two games Thursday and then torched Warner Robins 52-0 in the nightcap.
“Defense was a big thing for us and just pretty much just staying disciplined,” Lithia Springs coach Kendra Pleasants said after the second game.
Pleasants pointed to performances by Jayden Graham, MyAngel Ross, Jasmine McDowell and Ari Holton as key for the Lions in the sweep.
Lithia has reached the state finals the past three seasons, winning it all in 2022. They will host Blessed Trinity in the quarterfinals on Monday.
