Students at Lithia Springs Elementary School recently participated in the Girls on the Run Atlanta 5K marathon!
Under the leadership and guidance of Mrs. Siddika Jackson, the girls started training for the marathon in October. Their training included a mix of physical activity along with life skill development, such as fostering friendships and expressing empathy.
At the end of the season, the girls were ready to run a three-mile race together.
Thousands of girls and coaches gathered near Cheney Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, April 28th to represent their schools/teams. The LSES team finished strong together!
