Alexander’s flag football team has made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons.

Head coach Matt Pierce said the Cougars return five key players on offense this year: Kennedy Cantrell, Kenzie Townsend, Hannah Harris, Marley Raines and Ryleigh Isabel.

“We’re looking to them for leadership,” he said.

While the team lost several seniors from last year’s squad, Pierce said the goals in 2026 remain the same: make the playoffs, make a run at a championship and guide his players to “be the best teammates they can possibly be and represent ‘the A’ well on and off the field.”
