A Winston Elementary first grade teacher and students

Douglas County teachers, parents, and students celebrated the first day of classes on Thursday, Dr. Trent North with students at Mason Creek.July 31.

After a well-deserved summer break, Team Douglas returned with a renewed perspective —energized and excited about what the future holds for the Douglas County School System. With a dedicated school board, the arrival of enthusiastic new teachers, educators committed to investing in professional growth and development, and the introduction of the community-wide reading challenge, the district is thrilled to offer an enriching and safe environment for students to excel.

A new school year can spark a range of emotions — joy, anticipation, anxiety, excitement and hope. United as Team Douglas, each educator will lead the charge to build lifelong learners with pride and a shared commitment to shape the futures of our brilliant scholars.

Cheers to a new school year filled with success and prosperity!
