The DCSP consists of one Chief of Police, 31 certified Georgia POST Peace Officers, one Director of Safety Management and one dispatcher.

Two school resource officers are assigned to each high school.  One school resource officer is assigned to each middle school.  School resource officers also divide time between their assigned school and a single elementary school.

The Director of Safety Management is responsible for coordination of all safety functions to include but not limited to school safety plans, coordination of all safety drills and implementation and review of all safety procedures.

The district’s schools and the school resource officers assigned to the schools are divided into two separate sectors.  The two sectors:  North Sector and South Sector.  Each sector consists of one Captain who serves as the sector commander and one Sergeant who supervises the school resource officers for that sector.
