CTAE Industry Certifications

Several DCSS CTAE Programs Earn Industry Certification
Posted on 05/09/2022
Congratulations to the CTAE programs who achieved industry recertification during the 2021-2022 school year!

When a program becomes industry certified, it receives a “stamp of excellence” from the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE) and their partner agencies. Each school received a grant for $5000 from the Georgia Legislature to update their labs and equipment. Programs go through this process every five years to retain their certification. An annual review is conducted to ensure the program continues to meet certification requirements.

Students benefit from the process because it helps increase their qualifications for employment. Schools are better aligned with curriculum to provide better career opportunities. Business and industry recognize they will receive a quality student who will make a great future employee.
